Fashion Week in Sao Paulo

Fashion Weeks have become a cultural phenomenon in global cities such as Milan, Paris, London and New York. They attract fashion and design conscious patrons as well as high end luxury businesses. Sao Paulo’s “fashion week” is still in its infancy and unlike other cities where events occur at various venues, all events in Sao Paulo occur at the same location. The emphasis on fashion seems to be on the swimwear, perhaps due to the tropical climate.

Semanas de moda tornaram-se um fenômeno cultural em cidades globais tais como Milão, Paris, Londres e Nova York. Eles atraem moda e design conscientes patronos, bem como as empresas de luxo high-end. "Fashion week" do São Paulo está ainda na sua infância e ao contrário de outras cidades onde eventos ocorrem em vários locais, todos os eventos em São Paulo ocorrem no mesmo local. A ênfase na moda parece ser sobre o swimwear, talvez devido ao clima tropical.
